Punjab: Lance Naik Sandeep Singh Cremated with State Honours Lance Naik Sandeep Singh was cremated with state honours at his village, Kotla Khurad on Tuesday. He sustained injuries during a gunfight with militants at Tangdhar in Kashmir’s Kupwara district and he succumbed to his injuries on Monday. Sandeep Singh is survived by his wife, a 5-year –old son, his brother and his parents. He joined the army in 2007. He was with his family in July and reported to his duty in August. They very recently constructed their house in Kotla Khurad. Sandeep sustained bullet injuries in an operation in which 5 militants were killed. He was rushed to the 92 base hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Lance Naik Sandeep Singh’s younger brother Mandeep Singh returned home Monday night as soon he received the news. He works in Qatar. -PTC NEWS-
