Punjab: Sangrur Civil Surgeon tests positive for coronavirus
The Civil Surgeon of Sangrur has tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday. On Tuesday, he was admitted to the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala after he developed high fever and issues of breathlessness.
Meanwhile, the Patiala Civil Surgeon, Dr. Harish Malhotra, stated that the Sangrur Civil Surgeon has contracted the contagion disease. He said that his RT-PCR test is positive.
According to the information, the Civil Surgeon was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the isolation ward of the hospital yesterday. Meanwhile, his health condition said to be stable at present.
The Medical Superintendent, Government Rajindra Hospital, Dr. Paras Pandove, said that a team of doctors was attempting to give the best possible treatment.

Meanwhile, the Barnala and Sangrur health department authorities have started to contact tracing. The civil surgeon had attended several meetings with senior officers of Sangrur.
