Second 'Nihang' surrenders over killing at Singhu border

Singhu border farmers' protest: A second Nihang has been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a Dalit labourer at the Singhu border where farmers have been protesting against farm laws. The suspect has been arrested by police in Punjab's Amritsar district. He has been identified as Nihang Narayan Singh. He surrendered before the police with "no regrets". He is stable Saravjit Singh was produced at a local court on Saturday after which he was sent to seven days of police custody. The authorities asked for 14 days' custody saying he had info on other suspects and that they had to recover the murder weapons. In a video that emerged on Saturday, the Nihang member had "no regrets" over the killing of Lakhbir Singh.
