Senior SAD leader Bibi Satwant Kaur Sandhu passes away
Satwant Kaur Sandhu Death: Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday extended condolences to the family members of SAD leader Bibi Satwant Kaur Sandhu who passed away at the age of 80.
The Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bibi Satwant Kaur Sandhu passed away at Fortis hospital in Mohali on Saturday. The two-time minister and a five-time MLA from Chamkaur Sahib, the SAD leader would have turned 81 on February 22.

Meanwhile, her son Harmohan Singh Sandhu, who left service to join Shiromani Akali Dal in February 2019, said that the latter was admitted to the hospital a fortnight ago.
As per the report, she was found suffering from COIVD-19. The SAD leader breathed her last at 10.40 pm on Friday while she was to be cremated on Saturday.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, Satwant Kaur Sandhu's death, stated: "Saddened to learn about the demise of senior SAD leader and former minister Satwant Kaur Sandhu Ji."
"A loyal party worker, she upheld Panthic principles in public life & in her demise, we have lost a mass leader. May Gurusahab grant strength to the family to bear this loss," he added.
