After a car rammed into a truck on the Amritsar-Jalandhar national highway, seven people including a child, were killed on Monday morning, police confirmed. The family was in a Mohindra Scorpio car. The incident took place near Khalchian village in Amritsar, police said. The deceased were identified as Arvind Sharma, his wife Savita Sharma, daughter Mani Sharma, son Seevash Sharma of Uttam Nagar in New Delhi, and Suneel, his wife Poonam and a child from Jhajjar in Haryana. The deceased were on their way back in their car from Amritsar to Delhi, after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple. When they reached near Khalchian village, their car rammed into a parked truck on the national highway. -PTC News-
