History book issue: SGPC announces to withdraw Sikh history resource editing project from Dr Kirpal Singh SGPC holds a meeting of Sikh organizations to discuss the issue of the alleged distortion of Sikh history in class XII history textbooks. SGPC meeting led by SGPC chief, Gobind Singh Longowal, decided to constitute a committee of experts on History book issue. Dr. Kirpal Singh, Chairman of Syllabus Committee should apologize to the entire Sikh community. Also, SGPC announced to withdraw of Sikh history resource editor project, Dr. Kirpal Singh. Longowal further said that Dr. Kirpal should apologize instead of giving any clarification. All Sikh organizations gave full support to the SGPC.
