Chandigarh, September 17: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to intensify the legal battle for the release of the Bandi Singhs. Addressing a press conference after a special meeting with the retired Sikh judges and prominent attorneys at the Shiromani Committee's office in Chandigarh, SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami said that this is the most critical issue for the nation because Sikh political prisoners are still being held even though they have completed their sentences. He went on to say that the SGPC is already providing legal support to the captive Singhs, but that the case of the Sikh captives would now be handled collectively due to numerous legal issues.
