Chandigarh: Bollywood Actor Shahid Kapoor, who is recently shooting for his next film, Jersey, has reportedly suffered an injury at PCA Mohali stadium. The actor had received 13 stitches. As per report, Shahid was shooting a scene at the PCA cricket stadium Mohali on Friday when he was hit by a ball on his mouth.
Shahid was playing fine and rehearsing before the shot, when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lips and cut open a wide gash where blood started coming out, a source close to the film unit said. Likewise, he was immediately taken to a hospital for the treatment and doctor rushed to see him. To stop the wound, the doctor sutured stiches.
Meanwhile, his wife Mira Rajput came to Chandigarh. According to the information, Shahid is fine now, but the injury was deep cut so he had to get stiches. Now, Kabir Singh actor will take a break for the next few days. He will continue shooting after the swelling on lips subsides and wound is healed. Now, Shahid Kapoor has left for Mumbai.
Jersey is a story of a talented but failed cricketer. The film is an official remake of the same title film. The story revolves around the man who decides to return to cricket in his late thirties having the desire to represent his nation and to fulfil the dream of his son for a jersey as a gift.
Earlier, Shahid Kapoor was seen in Kabir Singh, a remake of Arjun Reddy, for which he garnered a lot of love and attention from the fans and as well as the critics. Also, the film was a blockbuster on the box office.
