Shanties gutted in fire in Nashik A fire broke out in a slum in Nashik in Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon. Three Shanties were gutted in a fire. No causalities have been reported so far. According to media reports, the fire broke out at around 12:30 pm in the locked shanty belonging to Mushtaq Shaikh, a street vendor. When the fire department reached the spot, it evacuated the residents of the neighbouring shanties. According to a police official, articles of domestic use were destroyed in the fire. Police has started an investigation and trying to find the exact cause behind the fire.
