Shanties gutted in fire in Nashik

A fire broke out in a slum in Nashik in Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon. Three Shanties were gutted in a fire. No causalities have been reported so far. According to media reports, the fire broke out at around 12:30 pm in the locked shanty belonging to Mushtaq Shaikh, a street vendor.

Locals spotted the blaze and informed the Fire Brigade. When the fire department reached the spot, it evacuated the residents of the neighbouring shanties.

Indira Nagar Police station officials also reached the spot. According to a police official, articles of domestic use were destroyed in the fire.  Police has started an investigation and trying to find the exact cause behind the fire.
