Sharry Mann summoned by ED, to appear in the court on Jan 4: Punjabi Singer Sharry Mann has been sent notice by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under FEMA act pursuing recovery of documents mentioning his name and mobile number during a raid at an immigration firm in Mohali. He will have to appear before the court on January 4.
It is to be mentioned that, the ED had raided an immigration company Seabird International Private Limited, situated at Phase-10, Mohali in October last year. Two persons Gurinder Singh, the owner of the immigration company, and his partner Pritpal Singh, a resident of Sector-70, Mohali , were booked by the police during the raid.
The ED had recovered 27 fake stamps of senior government officials, including deputy commissioners, Tehsildar, three stamps of bank authorities and executive magistrates, and one of a doctor during the raid in October.
The enforcement Directorate had conducted the raid after getting some complaints under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) .The investigating agency also recovered a sum of Rs 22 lakh.
