Shiromani Akali Dal endorses SGPC’s Khalsa March, assigns duties to its leaders

Chandigarh, September 30: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday endorsed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s call to hold a Khalsa March over ‘interference’ in Sikh affairs.
The SGPC will hold a Khalsa March from Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib to Sri Akal Takht Sahib on October 7 and requested the Centre to file a review petition or pass a new law to do away with the validation of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Committee Act, 2014 by the Supreme Court.
A decision was taken at a meeting chaired by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal. Party’s legislators, former legislators and constituency incharges’ attended the meeting.
