SAD to continue to assist Dalbir Dhilwan family to get justice

Punjab Latest News: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Thursday said it would continue to fight the Minister - gangster - police nexus and assist the family of former Akali Sarpanch Dalbir Dhilwan to file a complaint before the Magistrate. In a statement here, party Spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said the High Court while taking up the case filed by Dalbir’s son Sandeep had given him liberty to seek appropriate remedy and that the family would now file a private complaint with the Magistrate. “Also the High Court has expressed satisfaction with the reply of the State police in the case only after it has been submitted that a fresh statement of the family has been recorded. This has been our demand all along. Dalbir’s family has named Jails minister Sukhjinder Randhawa in the fresh statement and the police has said it will inquire into the complaint and file a supplementary challan. The case has now taken the right turn and if a genuine investigation is done the role of the Jails minister will be exposed and he can be brought to book after he is nominated as an accused”. Dr Cheema said the SAD on its part would keep a close watch of the police probe and in case the Batala police again came under the influence of the Jails minister and tried to protect him from action as per law it would approach the appropriate judicial authority for action in the case. https://www.ptcnews.tv/jammu-and-kashmir-nagrota-attack-toll-plaza-attack-3-terrorists-killed-en/ The SAD leader also asked chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to dismiss Sukhjinder Randhawa from the ministry. He said now that a statement had been recorded against the minister on the directions of the high court and he was being investigated by the State police it was only appropriated that he be sacked from the ministry. “There is every possibility that Randhawa will pressurise the Batala police to get a clean chit in the case. Justice therefore cannot be done till Randhawa continues to be in the ministry. He should be sacked forthwith and the Batala police should be directed to conduct an impartial inquiry into the complaint of the victim family”, he added. -PTC News
