"Sonu Sood has political director behind him": Shiv Sena on Bollywood actor's COVID-19 relief work
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been helping the migrant workers amid coronavirus crisis by sending them home. He has won million hearts for his relief work, but Shiv Sena is still not impressed by him. Shiv Sena stated that Sonu Sood might have some political reasons behind it.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told media, "Sonu Sood is a good actor. There is a different director for movies, the work he has done is good but there is a possibility that there is a political director behind it."
In Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamana, Sanjay Raut referred to the Punjab-born actor as a Mahatma. As per the report he said that he had appeared out of nowhere amid coronavirus lockdown.

It is pertinent to mention that the Mahatma jibe was in reference with the actor’s recent meet with Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who called him Mahatma Sood, praising him for his work.
Sanjay Raut also questioned that why no action is being taken by the Centre as the migrants were being taken while the states had closed their borders. He also said that if the states were not allowing in migrant workers, where were the people going.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi took to Twitter and wrote: "Why slam Sonu Sood if he is genuinely helping? If private citizen comes forward ( IF GENUINE) to help citizens, they should we welcomed and encouraged as it fills a gap. States with best intentions may be unable to do all."
