'Dangerous' Covid strain originated in India: Singapore on Arvind Kejriwal's tweet

Day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged the Central government to cancel all air services with Singapore in view of the "new strain of coronavirus', Singapore dismissed such reports. Singapore has dismissed the reports quoting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal that a “very dangerous" strain of the coronavirus was prevalent in the city state. It said that there was “no truth whatsoever” in such assertions. Day after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal urged Centre to cancel air services with Singapore in view of Meanwhile, Singapore's health ministry, responding to Kejriwal's tweet, said that there was no truth whatsoever in the assertions found within the reports. It stated that there was no Singapore variant and that the strain that was found in many of the COVID-19 cases was B.1.617.2 variant, which was originated in India.
