To avoid dispute b/w suppliers & farmers we've decided to end protest, says Balbir Singh Rajewal

Six farmer associations announce to call off strike from June 6, the announcement was made through during a press conference on Monday. The meeting was held at circuit house, Ludhiana, Punjab. 'Protests have been peaceful so far. In several places farmers set up shops to sell vegetables directly to consumers which benefited everyone. But to avoid dispute b/w suppliers & farmers we've decided to end our protest, in Punjab, on June 6 itself,' said Balbir Singh Rajewal, Bhartiya Kisan Union.

The six farmer associations were as follows- Bharti Kisan Union, Bhartiya Kisan Union Rajewal, Bhartiya Kisan Union Lakhowal, Bhartiya Kisan Union Kadian, Bhartiya Kisan Union Sidhupur, Progressive Dairy Farmers Associations and Indian Farmer Association. -PTC News
