Smriti Irani to file nomination on April 11 from Amethi Constituency

Union Minister and Bhartiya Janta Party candidate, Smriti Irani, will file her nomination papers from the Amethi Constituency for the Lok Sabha Polls on April 11.

According to Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) district President Durgesh Tripathi, earlier she was to file her nomination on April 17. Since it was a holiday, she would now be filing her nomination on April 11. At the time of filing, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP in-charge for Amethi Mohsin Raza, and MLA Jagdishpuri Suresh Pasi will be present at the venue.

Before filing her nomination, Smriti Irani will perform rituals at a temple of Budhan Mai inside the BJP office at Gauriganj. The Congress President Rahul Gandhi is also all set to file his nomination on April 10 from Amethi parliamentary constituency. The district administration has made all the arrangements for the filing of nominations. Amethi goes to the polls in the fifth phase on May 6.
