Social media message on arrest of father of Shree Brar fake: SSP Patiala
Terming the social media message in circulation about the arrest of father of singer and lyricist Pawandeep Brar alias Shree Singh Brar a rumor, SSP Patiala Vikram Jeet Duggal has warned of stern action against those who spread such fake news and rumors.

He said that no such arrest had been made by Patiala police nor had the singer Jas Bajwa been summoned.
SSP further said that the singer and lyricist Brar alias Pawandeep Singh was arrested for specifically targeting law and order in Patiala and glorifying lawlessness and violence in Patiala through his song 'JAAN’ and it has nothing to do with the Kissan anthem/ agitation, as highlighted on certain media/ social media platforms.

“A case was registered against the crew of the song JAAN under Sections 3 of Police Incitement to Disaffection Act 1922, Section 500, 501, 502, 505, 115, 116, 120-B of IPC had been registered at Civil Lines Police Station Patiala on January 3, 2021 for its provocative lyrics promoting violence and antisocial acts in Patiala, to the extent of even providing shelter to the criminals and gangsters and encouraging them for Jail Breaks in Nabha, Patiala”, said the SSP.
