Sohana gurdwara offers Shelter to over 300 Kashmiri students Kashmiri Students studying in Dehradun, Ambala have been going through a lot for the past three days. They were lying to their families that they were safe when they were clearly not. People are hurling abuses at these students. In some areas, a group of people forcibly entered their room and beat them up, only because they belong to Kashmir. With the tensions mounting up since the Pulwama attack, the Kashmiri students were asked to vacate their rooms by their landlords.  Conditions forced them to flee. They took shelter in Sohana Gurdwara on Monday. The students got in touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Students Organisation (JKSO) which is working for their safety. The management of the Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan in Sohana offered shelter to these students. Arrangements have been made for their safe stay. The former president of the Gurdwara’s management committee told the media that whatever happened in Pulwama is wrong in every way, but one cannot target students. That is why they are there to help them. The gurdwara had provided them half- a dozen rooms. The gurdwara is serving them langar. The police has deployed PCR vehicles in Landran and Sohana.
