Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi pay tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary, here on Monday. Congress president Rahul Gandhi with mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi were seen at Veer Bhumi, Raj Ghat. Rahul Gandhi took to social media site Twitter and wrote - 'I remember the times we had together and the many birthdays we were lucky to celebrate with him when he was alive.'
Priyanka Gandhi, Robert Vadra and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also paid their respects. Born on August 20, 1944, Rajiv Gandhi served as the seventh prime minister of India from 1984 to 1989. He was assassinated on May 21, 1991 at the age of 46.Rajiv Gandhi was a kind, gentle and affectionate man whose untimely death left a deep void in my life.
