Spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj commits suicide in Madhya Pradesh Spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj on Tuesday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his Khandwa Road residence in Madhya Pradesh. He was taken to the Bombay Hospital in Indore where he was declared brought dead. Bhaiyyuji Maharaj shot himself, confirmed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Indore HC Mishra. Maharaj’s ashram is situated in Indore city. He acted as a mediator when Anna Hazare-led India Against Corruption (IAC) movement was at its peak. This is to be noted that Maharaj, who stunned everyone by taking this extreme step, uploaded a post regarding Suryoday Jalsandharan Yojana on his verified Facebook account at 11:16 am on Tuesday. The last tweet posted from his unverified Twitter account was at 1:57 pm. The Madhya Pradesh government had in April accorded him with a Minister of State status. However, he had later rejected the state government's invitation. "All he has ought to think of is service to the people.
