Amritsar, November 1 - Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia today said the stage has been finally set for framing of charges against AAP leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal with the latter failing to submit any evidence to support the malicious allegations levelled by him in the ongoing criminal defamation case being faced by him. In a statement here, Mr Majithia said earlier the AAP leader had become Accused Arvind Kejriwal (AAK) from Arvind Kejriwal when he was summoned before the court to answer for his misdeeds. He said soon the PAAP leader would be known as Chargesheeted Arvind Kejriwal and then finally Convicted Arvind Kejriwal (CAK) Speaking about today's developments, Mr Majithia said the PAAP leader had again tried to mislead the court by referring to certain statements made in newspapers instead of submitting any proof as dictated by law. "You cannot achieve fame by defaming others and by relying on rhetoric alone", he said adding the PAAP leader was now one step closer to jail. The Akali leader said the law was clear. "You have to prove your utterings by submitting proof of the same and cannot rely on rhetoric to escape the law. I tell you even now. Don't give loose statements outside the court. If you have the moral courage state the same things through an affidavit inside the court and face the wrath of the law". Stating that he has full faith in the court as a law abiding citizen, Mr Majithia said seeking justice in court was not intimidation. The Akali leader said now was the time for the PAAP party to produce evidence if it really had something against him. He said instead of doing this AAP leaders were filing exemption applications. "If they had been serious about the case they would have filed applications for day to day hearing which they refused despite my averment that I would agree to this wholeheartedly. Stating it was in the character of Kejriwal to first make wild allegations and then run away from them, Mr Majithia said the PAAP party leader had already done this in a couple of cases. "In the criminal defamation case being faced by him here Kejriwal is trying to buy time before the inevitable because he does not want to go to jail before the 2017 assembly elections". The Akali leader as far as Mr Kejriwal's character was concerned it could be gauged from the manner in which he had rode on the shoulders of India Against Corruption movement and even betrayed its leader Anna Hazare. “You even threw out the co-founders of AAP including Prashant Bhushan and Yoginder Yadav and recently you have crossed all bounds of decency by even going against the national interest by questioning the surgical strikes executed by the brave jawans of our armed forces". He said the recent sordid revelations of sexual misconduct by AAP leaders was further proof of the moral degradation of the party which had given a go by to all norms of decency in polity".-
