The stray cattle menace in Pathankot and surrounding areas continues to haunt local residents. The district administration or the municipal corporation is not able to tackle the problem and the stray cattle menace has started claiming people’s lives.

On Tuesday, two youths travelling on a motorcycle died when the driver lost control due to stray cow and crashed into divider on the Pathankot road last night. The locals rushed them to civil hospital in Pathankot , where they were declared brought dead by doctors.

The deceased were resident of Sujanpur in Pathankot. Meanwhile, the police has initiated an inquiry under 174 CrpC in the matter.
