Students among 23 Killed After Field Trip Bus Falls into Gorge in Nepal
Twenty-three people, mostly students were killed after the bus they were travelling, fell into a gorge in western Nepal on Friday evening. The bus was carrying 37 people, mostly students between 16 and 20 years. They were returning from a Botanical field trip when this accident took place.

Police reached the spot and rushed the injured to the nearby hospitals. According to the media reports, 22 people were killed on the spot while one died on its way to the hospital. More than fourteen people were treated for injuries.
Two teachers and the driver also died in the accident. The preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the speed was the cause of this accident.

On December 15, more than 20 people died and fourteen others were injured after a truck carrying people plunged 1,300 feet onto a river bank in Central Nepal. The truck was carrying mourners who were returning from a funeral.
