Students among 23 Killed After Field Trip Bus Falls into Gorge in Nepal

Students among 23 Killed After Field Trip Bus Falls into Gorge in Nepal Twenty-three people, mostly students were killed after the bus they were travelling, fell into a gorge in western Nepal on Friday evening. The bus was carrying 37 people, mostly students between 16 and 20 years. They were returning from a Botanical field trip when this accident took place. According to the media reports, 22 people were killed on the spot while one died on its way to the hospital. More than fourteen people were treated for injuries. Two teachers and the driver also died in the accident. The preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the speed was the cause of this accident. More details are awaited.
