Suicide bombing kills 3 in Iran, India condemns attack
Three people were killed and several others were injured when a suicide car bomber attacked a police headquarter on Thursday in Chabahar port in Iran.


The suicide attacker drove the vehicle loaded with explosives to the police headquarters. The police officers blocked the car and started firing at the driver. It was then, the driver detonated his explosives.

No militant group immediately took responsibility for the attack and also the authorities were not able to identify, who was behind the attack. Chabahar near Iran’s border with Pakistan is a home to a new port which was built recently. It is an important transport passage for India into Afghanistan and Central Asia.

India has strongly condemned the terror attack at the Chabahar port. MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, “India strongly condemns today's despicable terrorist attack in Chabahar, Iran. We express our condolences to the government and the people of Iran and the families of the victims of this attack. We wish a speedy recovery to those injured. The perpetrators behind this dastardly attack should be brought to justice expeditiously. There can be no justification for any act of terror.”
