Sukhbir Badal asks CM not to run away from waiving off farmer loans Addressing large turnouts at Yusufpur Derewal,Giddarpindi Nal,Munda Cholian, Jania Chahal,Jalalpur Khurad,Pipli,( Dashmesh Park),Lohian City ( S. Shingara Singh Wali Gali) villages in Shahkot assembly constituency along with party candidate Naib Singh Kohar, the SAD President said it did not behove the chief minister to cheat his subjects by reneging on his solemn promise to waive off all loans whether from cooperative or nationalised banks and private money lenders. “Capt Amarinder Singh even distributed signed affidavits to this effect to farmers. Today by reneging on this promise and trying to shift the blame on the centre by writing a letter in this regard to the Prime Minister, the CM has proved that he practised politics of deceit. It is clear now that Capt Amarinder never intended to waive off farmer loans and only promised so to befool farmers to get their votes. This is the reason why farmers feel betrayed and are committing suicide the count of which has reached 450 now”, he added. He said this was because the chief minister was not displaying any will to rule. “Capt Amarinder has not gone to his office for a single day. He does not have time to visit the people. He does not even meet his legislators or ministers. It is because of this that development is at a standstill”, he added.
