Sukhbir Badal asks Punjabis to unite under SAD banner in Haryana
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked Punjabis to unite under one banner to make SAD part of the next government in Haryana, even as he assured to implement free power facility to Haryana farmers on the pattern of Punjab if voted to power.

Addressing a large public rally at the grain market here, the SAD president said Punjabis could decide the fate of 40 legislators in the forthcoming assembly elections. Urging Punjabis not to divide their votes, Mr Badal said their issues could be addressed only if they formed the next government in the State. “The SAD is going from village to village across the State to unite Punjabis. I urge you to also create awareness of the unique social welfare initiatives started in Punjab by S Parkash Singh Badal. All these initiatives will be replicated in Haryana also”, he added.

Mr Badal said the SAD was committed to making each village a model village by ensuring 100 per cent sewerage and water supply. “We will implement this in Haryana once we form the government in the State”, he added.

Terming the Congress party as biggest enemy of the Sikh community, Mr Badal said the SAD had fought a relentless battle to ensure justice to 1984 victims. “The SAD doggedly pursued the cases of the 1984 accused and it is because of our efforts that Sajjan Kumar has been incarcerated for life. Another prime accused Jagdish Tytler will also meet the same fate”.

SAD Haryana Incharge Balwinder Singh Bhundur announced that the party would hold its next rally at Sirsa on 17th february and that the forthcoming rally schedule in other areas would also be announced soon.

Senior leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa while speaking on the occasion said the party could emerge as a force in Haryana as it had in the case of Delhi. He said Sikhs across the country and the world looked up to the SAD to solve all problems being faced by the community. He said the SAD had solved many issues be it getting GST waived on ‘langar’ to ensuring the composition of the Sri Hazoor Sahib management board was not changed in any way. Mr Sirsa also announced that the BJP had agreed to reverse earlier amendments and ensure implementation of the Hazoor Sahib Act of 1956.
