Sukhbir blasts Punjab govt for power tariff hike,Chandigarh: SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal today described as " back breaking " the latest steep hike in the electricity tariff announced in Punjab. " This is the first shock being delivered by the Amarinder govt after the elections. I fear more will follow," said Mr Badal in a statement here. The SAD president said that it was utterly inexplicable and unjustified that a state which has already been made power surplus by the SAD BJP government, people should be repeatedly crushed under the heavy burden of electricity bills. He said that the he government had already punished the Dalit and poorer sections by inflicting harsh conditions in the free 200 units given to domestic consumers by the SAD BJP govt. The latest decision will hit every section of society and every sector of economy especially domestic, agriculture, trade and industry. -PTC News
