Shiromani Akali Dal President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal today roared in PPCC president Sunil Jakhar’s den, addressing Akali workers right next to the Congress leader’s house in his ancestral village Panj Kosi near Abohar this afternoon.
“I dare Jakhar and the anti-Sikh Congress party to come out and face the fearless Akali warriors. The Khalsa Panth thrives on challenge,” said Sukhbir Singh Badal, asking party workers to be ready to blow the war bugle in the September 9 rally at Malout. The event was a characteristic Sukhbir-response to Jakhar’s claim last week that the Akali leaders, especially Badals, will not be allowed to enter villages.
Mr Badal alleged that for the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress, the fight in Punjab is really about the control of the Sikh shrines through the SGPC. They want Congress stooges to snatch control of and preside over the SGPC, Shri Harmandar Sahib, Shri Akali Takhat Sahib and other sacred shrines and consequently dilute and destroy our traditions, history and heritage as enshrined in the sacred Shri Guru Granth Sahib,” said Mr Badal.

Describing the sacrilege as “the most painful and most unforgivable sin,” Mr Badal said that Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji is not only a sacred scripture but the eternally living Guru and is the very life, soul and spirit of our very existence. The Guru’s word runs in our veins, our hearts, minds and our whole being with every breath we take.”

Mr Badal dares the Congress government in Punjab to accept the advice offered by AAP leader ,H S Phoolka, and to either share what are the concrete, actionable parts of the so-called Ranjit Singh panel report or ask its ministers to resign en block by September 15.”
He said that the report is damps quib because it was prepared with a biased and prejudiced mind with ulterior motives with baseless allegations, guesses, assumptions and insinuations. It is liable to thrown back at the advocate’s face the moment it is presented before court of law. it“

Mr Badal said that there could be a link between these incidents of sacrilege and the Congress ambition and designs to put the Khalsa Panth at the mercy of the Congress. The Congress has always known that it is necessary to weaken or destroy the Shiromani Akali Dal as this party is the strongest weapon with the community to defend itself.

“The Congress knows that If there is no Akali Dal, then the Sikhs and Punjab will be totally disarmed, and there will be no one to stop these enemies from rolling tanks and mortars to destroy Shri Harmandar Sahib, Shri Akali Takht Sahib whenever they like, kill as many thousands of innocent Sikhs as they please through ’84 like massacres, or eliminate Sikh youth in reign of repression in Punjab, or freely commit acts of sacrilege against Shri Guru Granth Sahib. Minus Akalis, who will stop the enemies of the Sikhs? Who will save the community?”
These enemies want to finish us using weapons of modern warfare such as misinformation campaigns, he said , adding that the Ranjit Singh Commission report is a part of the Congress’ misinformation campaign.
