Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday lashed out against AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for stabbing farmers in the back with the treacherous implementation of the farm laws 2020 in Delhi, brought by the BJP government at the Centre.
“This is not just political dishonesty ( siasi be-imaani) in the extreme but also but an inhuman betrayal of the simple-hearted and trusting farmers,” said Sukhbir Singh Badal in a statement.
The Shiromani Akali Dal President said that he and the farmers have been shocked to learn that Arvind Kejriwal had already implemented the Centre’s farm laws 2020 in Delhi and even issued a gazette notification on November 23.
“Even a crocodile would have a thing or two to learn from Kejriwal about how to shed fake tears. In fact, the idiom about crocodile tears will have to be changed now to “Kejriwal tears”.
Stating that the latest betrayal of Kejriwal has exposed him as well as AAP, Badal said the Delhi chief minister should withdraw the gazette notification immediately.
“Kejriwal should also announce that the Delhi government will not implement the three agri laws and will ensure assured government marketing at minimum support price (MSP),” he added.
Farmers from across the country are protesting against the farm laws 2020 at various Delhi borders.
