(SOI to contest students' union elections in Delhi University-Deputy CM) (Victory depicts youth’s faith in SAD policies) (SOI to contest students' union elections in Delhi University) (Majithia asks the student leaders to enroll membership) Chandigarh, August 27 - Shiromani Akali Dal president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, today congratulated the young leaders of Student Organisation of India (SOI), the student wing of party, for registering clean sweep victory in the Panjab University Students Council elections held yesterday. Complementing presidential candidate of SOI Jasmeen Kang for winning with huge margins thereby creating history in university students polls, Mr Badal announced that SOI would contest students' union elections in the Delhi University also. Mr. Badal said record victory of SOI led alliance panel on all four posts of students council by defeating its opponents, especially incumbent NSUI, the youth wing of the Congress, have once again proved that youth of the state has its full faith in the policies and programs of Shiromani Akali Dal. Shiromani Akali Dal President also felicitated SOI coordinator Parambans Singh Bunty Romana for his efforts to lead the election campaign and instilling new zeal and passion in the young brigade of the party. Mr. Badal asked the student wing to take this success not as a victory but a chance to work for the welfare of students. Present on the occasion Patron Youth Akali Dal and Cabinet Minister Mr Bikram Singh Majithia also passed on good wishes to the SOI led alliance winners and asked the student leaders to enroll membership and strengthen base in state. He also advised to play an important role in creating awareness about social problems and come up with solutions for the challenges being faced by the students and youth of Punjab.
