publive-imageThe Satluj Yamuna Link Canal Link is a proposed 214-km long canal in India which will enable the connection of Sutlej and Yamuna rivers. The link defines the water sharing between the states of Punjab and Haryana. However, the matter has been referred to the Supreme Court. The SYL Canal was to be constructed for the effective allocation of water while the two states were required to construct their portions within their territories.
