The SYL issue has again come into the limelight. This time INLD wants the early completion of SYL canal i.e. Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal. (SYL Issue Punjab road block)
Sealing the entry points
The state president of INLD, Mr. Ashok Arora stated that their party workers would bar the entry of Punjab vehicles into Haryana by sealing the entry points. These entry points are Shambhu border between Ambala and Rajpura, Highway number 1, Khanori Jind Road, Tohana Hisar road and Bathinda Dabwali Sirsa road.
Education Minister of Haryana
An appeal by the Education Minister of Haryana was given to the
INLD party to call off this agitation. He said that this issue can turn the things more bitter and might affect the relations of both the states i.e. Punjab and Haryana.
However, Mr. Ashok Arora stated that the
Minister's request is completely condemnable and irresponsible.
