Teachers to hold protest against State government in Patiala today
Contractual teachers, working under the Adhyapak Sangarsh Committee, will hold a state level agitation against the State government in Patiala today.

Sanjha Adhyapak Morcha and Sikhiya Bachao Manch in its meeting had decided to hold a state-level protest in Patiala.

Protesting teachers said that, neither the teachers’ transfers were cancelled nor their meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister could take place yet.

Meanwhile, the protesting teachers also warned the Congress government that if the authorities don’t accept their demands,they will make sure that congress party suffers huge losses in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

Earlier, teachers had planned to carry out a protest march in Amritsar on January 27. However, they decided to hold protest in Patiala on February 10.
