'The Kapil Sharma Show' lands in legal trouble

'The Kapil Sharma Show' has landed in legal trouble. An FIR has been filed against the makers of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' for showing actors drinking on the stage while performing a courtroom. He alleged that the show disrespected courts in one of its episode. A character of the show was shown drinking on the stage while performing a courtroom scene. The episode aired on January 19, 2020, but had a repeat telecast in April this year. FIR Against 'The Kapil Sharma Show' For Showing Actors Drinking Alcohol in Courtroom Scene The lawyer alleged that, “The Kapil Sharma Show is very sloppy. They also make lewd comments on women. In one of the episodes, a court was set up on the stage and the actors were seen drinking alcohol in public. This is contempt of court. That's why I have demanded registration of FIR against the culprits under Section 356/3 in the court. Apart from Kapil, the show stars Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri and Archana Singh. After being off-air for almost seven months, the show returned to TV screens on August 21.
