Three died in snowstorm in Jammu & Kashmir
Three persons died after they were caught in a snowstorm in Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place on Monday night near Khoni Nallah in Sadhna Top mountain pass area in Kashmir.

According to media reports, a group of people were walking from Kupwara to Karnah. On their way to Karnah, they were caught in a snowstorm near the mountain pass area. However, the rest of the group managed to reach the Sadhna Top and realized three persons from their group missing.
Soon after, they informed the police and Army personnel about the incident. When security forces reached the spot, they found that the three persons had died due to cold.

The deceased have been identified as Tahir Khoja, Khaliq Shiekh and Fareed Ahmad. All the three deceased were the residents of Karnah.

Also, because of fresh snowfall, the road from Kupwara to Karnah is now closed for traffic movement.
