Time Extended Till November 30 For Newly Recruited 2005 ETT Teachers For Joining: DR Cheema

CHANDIGARH: Giving relief to the newly recruited 2005 ETT teachers, the Punjab Education Department has extended the joining period till November 30. Disclosing this here today Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab said that the decision to this effect has been taken considering the reports of delay in medical of newly recruited ETT teachers.

The minister further said that the department would hand over the appointment letters to the remaining newly selected 1500 Social Studies teachers by November 30. He said that barring these 1500 SS teachers the appointment letters to 4550 master cadre teachers have already handed over. He said that with the completion of this recruitment process the education department has achieved a milestone in the recruitment of total 84,000 teachers in last 9 years.


Dr. Cheema has also issued strict instructions to the education department to put a blanket ban on all transfers. He categorically directed to the newly appointee to join their allotted stations immediately and not to canvass for their transfers.
