In a major incident, a toddler was allegedly beaten to death in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, the police official said on Friday. As per the report, the minor was thrashed after he relieved himself in the common pathway of a residential locality. A person living in the area raised an objection following to which the child was brutally beaten with a stick. The toddler was just one-and-a-half-year-old. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two accused, who have been identified as Ram Singh and Umesh Singh. The incident took place when the toddler urinated in the pathway of the locality, which led to the argument between the father and the people living in the area. As the argument escalated, the minor was beaten to death with a stick. This is not for the first time that a minor has been beaten to death for open defecation. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi declared India as the country free of open defecation.
