Lawrence Bishnoi interview case: The case involving the interviews of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has significantly impacted Punjab politics. A recent revelation about Bishnoi’s second interview has heightened the controversy. It has been disclosed that the second interview took place at Jaipur Central Jail, prompting the Punjab-Haryana High Court to issue a notice to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department of Rajasthan.
During a recent hearing, the High Court directed that Rajasthan be included as a party in the case. The court noted that Bishnoi's second interview occurred at the Jaipur Central Jail, while the first interview was conducted at the CIA compound in Kharar.
As a result of these developments, the High Court has officially made the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department of Rajasthan a party to the proceedings. The court has also instructed the Advocate General of Rajasthan to participate in the next hearing, scheduled for September 5, via video conferencing.
