Punjab, August 14: In a significant move to enhance healthcare accessibility, Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has bestowed the gift of 76 new Mohalla Clinics upon the people of the state as part of the 76th Independence Day celebrations. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated these Mohalla Clinics on the eve of Independence Day, on August 14.

The expansion of the Mohalla Clinics network is a commendable stride toward ensuring comprehensive healthcare services to the masses. Currently, the Punjab government operates a total of 583 Mohalla Clinics across the state. With the inauguration of these 76 new clinics, the total count of Mohalla Clinics in Punjab has surged to 659, heralding improved medical assistance for the general public.

Praising this milestone achievement, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his thoughts via a tweet. He highlighted that last year, in commemoration of the 75th year of independence, the state initiated 75 Aam Aadmi Clinics, which have now burgeoned to a total of 583, benefiting approximately 4.5 million people. Continuing this legacy, on the occasion of the 76th year of independence, an additional 76 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been inaugurated, elevating the total count to 659.

Bhagwant Mann underscored the instrumental role of these Mohalla Clinics in providing a lifeline to individuals who had been hitherto deprived of quality healthcare due to financial constraints. These clinics serve as a beacon of hope, making accessible medical assistance a reality for a wider segment of the population.

The expansion of the Mohalla Clinics network resonates with the government's commitment to democratizing healthcare services and uplifting the overall well-being of the citizens. As Punjab marks its 76th Independence Day, this endeavor stands as a testament to the state's unwavering dedication to the health and welfare of its people.
