Tral Encounter: Jammu and Kashmir: Militant Killed in an encounter in Pulwama
Tral Encounter: Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces have eliminated a militant in an encounter that took place near the Forest area of Tral in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, here on Wednesday. In a recent encounter, the gunfight took place when the Army Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF carried out a search operation in the valley. The encounter lasted for hours after Security forces have eliminated the militant.

Security forces conducted the search operation after receiving information regarding the presence of militants in the area. The security forces cornered the militants in Pulwama's Tral forest area after the militant open fired on security forces. The militant was neutralized, and no casualties have been reported among the security forces. The security forces along with Army Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF retaliated the militants in their own tone.
Identifying the militant, Jammu Kashmir police said and I quote, "Jammu & Kashmir Police on Tral encounter: The killed terrorist has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Malik from Nagbal Tral. As per the police records, he was initially affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and later on, he was part of Zakir Musa group". Currently, newly-appointed Home Minister Amit Shah is in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of his two-day visit.
