Trudeau honored with 24-karat gold-plated portrait of shrine and 'Siri Sahib'
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has honored Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau with a portrait of the shrine and Siri Sahib. It is a specially crafted 24-karat gold-plated portrait of the shrine along with a gold-plated 'Siri Sahib' (a small six-inch sword) that was presented to the Canadian PM along with a 'siropa' (robe of honour) and a shawl. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went at the Langar hall at Guru Ram Das Langar Hall, the community kitchen of the Golden Temple as he arrived at the holy shrine. He did Langar Seva along with wife and children and seemed full of joy. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu received Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport in Amritsar. The Canadian Prime Minister is on week-long visit to India. Mr Trudeau is accompanied by wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and three children -Ella-Grace, Xavier and Hadrien. -PTC News
