Trump And Putin Meet, Shake Hands In High Stakes Summit In Helsinki President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met and shook hands in the summit on neutral ground in Finland on Monday. The two world leaders walked into the room of the Presidential Palace in Helsinki very quietly. President Trump congratulated Putin on hosting the World Cup and the broke the silence. “I would like to congratulate you on a very great world cup, one of the best ever,” said, US President Donald Trump to Russia President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki. He also said, "It was beautifully done” and told that he watched the finals. Trump said that he would be talking about trade military and China. US President Donald Trump on meeting Russia President Putin tweeted, “We have a lot of good things to talk about. We have discussions on everything from trade to military to missiles to nuclear to China. We will be talking a little bit about China, our mutual friend, President Xi.” He also said that among the various major topics he would look forward to repair the deteriorating relationship between the two countries. "We've been not getting along for the past years," Trump said. "We'll have an extraordinary relationship. "And I really think the world wants to see us and get along," the U.S. president added. "We are the two great nuclear powers. It's not a good thing, it’s a bad thing. So we'll be talking about that among other things." The stakes are high for the summit. Just a few days before the arrival of Trump in Helsinki, special counsel Robert Mueller issued indictments on 12 Russian spies for their interference in the 2016 election. -PTC NEWS
