US President Donald Trump's Visit to Ireland Postponed U.S President Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland has been postponed due to scheduling reasons, the Irish Government told the sources on Tuesday. "The proposed visit of the U.S. president is postponed," an Irish government spokesman told the sources, "The U.S. side has cited scheduling reasons. In early August, Trump announced that he would be visiting Paris to attend events on November 11, which marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I. It was decided that he will also be visiting Ireland in that one trip.
