Two students suffer bullet injuries in Amritsar

Two school students were injured when six-bike borne assailants fired at a youth standing near them on Wednesday evening in Chheharta area in Amritsar.

The victims, identified as Deepinder Singh and Akashdeep Singh, were standing outside their residence. Suddenly six persons arrived and started firing at a youth standing near to them. A bullet hit the youth and he fell down. The victims sustained bullet injuries on their legs. They both were rushed to the Civil Hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger. Both victims are students of Sri Guru Hargobind Senior Secondary School in Chheharta.

The police has registered a case against the assailants and started an investigation. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), Lakhbir Singh, told the media sources that the department is trying to establish the identities of the suspects. -PTC NEWS
