Bihar: Two Women sexually assaulted at short stay home in Saran
Two Women were sexually assaulted at an NGO run short stay home in Saran. They have accused the watchman of the stay home for molestation. The accused have been identified as Ram Swaroop Pandit.
Police have arrested the watchman.
The matter came into light on Saturday during the social audit of NGO run short stay home by a state- level committee.
A case has also been registered against 2 more people for their involvement in the case, Saroj Kumari- training-cum-rehabilitation officer and Randhir Prasad-director of the stay home.
After this incident came into light, all the 26 women staying at the stay home were relocated to the Siwan-based shelter home.
Police have filed a case under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Last month a similar incident came into light when 11 persons including the NGO’s owner were arrested by the Bihar Police for allegedly sexually assaulting girls in Muzaffarpur town.
