UK Parliament Celebrates Turban Awareness Day on March 27 Taking a major move towards anti racism, the British Parliament celebrates Turban Awareness Day on March 27. In one of the recent racist attack on a Sikh person in the UK, a man tried to remove the turban of the victim when he was trying to get a pass to enter the Parliament House to meet some politician. It was reported that all the MPs would wear turban during the celebration. 'The turban signifies a crown, its not only the crown, its based on equality. What the Guru's gave us is a casteless society. And not only that, a society where everybody is equal. So where the men could not wear the turban the women could too,' said one of the MP's at the awareness celebration. Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, first Turbaned MP in UK was also present at the celebration.
