Unnao Rape Case: BJP expels Accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday have expelled the MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is the prime accused in raping a woman in Unnao. The expulsion came after the Unnao rape victim and her lawyer were attacked and two of her relatives were killed in a suspicious road accident. MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and nine others, including UP Minister's son-in-law have been booked by the CBI over the allegation against them which states that they plotted the accident which resulted in the critical condition of woman. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1156822710229590016 The FIR was lodged following the complaint of her mother who termed the accident as a plot to wipe out her family. Earlier, BJP had claimed that the MLA Kuldeep Sengar had been suspended in April 2018, when CBI probe was ordered in the rape case. The victim who is battling for her life met with an accident on Sunday in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, who wrote to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) that she was facing threats by Kuldeep Sengar in the Unnao rape case. The victim has accused MLA Kuldeep Sengar and his aides for raping her while she was en route her home for a job in 2017. Also, the victim in Lucknow tried to set herself on fire near the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence in an order to protest against the police for not taking any action against Sengar. The accused Kuldeep Sengar was BJP MLA from Bangarmau, who started his political career in 2002 after he was elected as MLA from Unnao Sadar on a BSP ticket.
