US Ambassador calls on Haryana CM Khattar

US Ambassador calls on Haryana CM Khattar US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster today called on Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and appreciated the state government for taking various effective measures to keep a check on air pollution caused due to vehicular traffic and stubble burning. Juster said the US and Haryana could work together on this issue of great importance which would go a long way in making the entire state pollution free. "This would be a great achievement," he said in an official statement issued. He also commended the state government for declaring Haryana as kerosene free and Open Defecation Free (ODF) state. Apprising Juster about the initiatives planned by the state government, Khattar said, "We are soon going to launch a fleet of 200 buses of clean fuel in Gurugram under the city bus service scheme." The chief minister said the state government is planning to develop an aero space manufacturing hub at Hisar for which Pratt & Whitney, an American aerospace manufacturer with global service operations, could provide its technology and expertise. Khattar said during his visit to the US in 2015, Pratt & Whitney had shown interest in developing research and development (R&D) facilities in the state.
