US Man throws hot coffee and punches Sikh clerk in California A man was arrested on hate crime charges in California in the USA after he threw hot coffee and punched a Sikh clerk. He mistook the victim’s identity. He believed the victim was a Muslim. According to media sources, the incident took place in Marysville in California at around 2 am on Wednesday.

The Sikh clerk confronted the accused at the door about the payment. John Crain then threw the hot coffee on him and punched him. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and police started searching the accused. Later in the afternoon, the police arrested the accused. He further told the police that he hates Muslims. He attacked the victim because he believed that he was a Muslim. He was later booked for assault, hate crime and theft charges.  -
