Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that he is extremely delighted that US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump would be in India on February 24-25. PM Modi added that they would be accorded a memorable welcome. In a series of tweets, PM Narendra Modi said India and US share a common commitment to democracy and pluralism.
PM Modi wrote: “Extremely delighted that @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS
will visit India on February 24-25. India will accord a memorable welcome to our esteemed guests. This visit is a very special one and it will go a long way in further cementing India-USA friendship.”
In another tweet, PM Modi said, “India and USA share a common commitment to democracy and pluralism. Our nations are cooperating extensively on a wide range of issues. Robust friendship between our nations augurs well not only for our citizens but also for the entire world.”
While sharing the information of Donald Trump and his wife’s visit to India, the White House took to twitter and wrote: “President Donald Trump and Melania Trump will travel to India from February 24-25 to visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi! The trip will further strengthen the US-India strategic partnership and highlight the strong and enduring bonds between the American and Indian people. ?? ??”
